The launching of the New Albany Farmers Market in 2011 was part of a larger movement within our community called Healthy New Albany. Our community has been growing rapidly in recent years and there is a strong interest in health, wellness, local business and building a strong and safe community. Healthy New Albany is a reflection of our community’s commitment to these interests. One of our goals of the New Albany Farmers Market is to continue to provide a venue that encourages the awareness and use of locally grown and produced goods that promote community health.
We had a tremendous first season in 2011 with amazing support from the community, our volunteers, and over fifty merchants throughout the season. The New Albany Farmers Market was named the “The 2011 Outstanding Program of the Year” from the New Albany Chamber of Commerce. The NAFM committee is working diligently to make the 2012 NAFM an even bigger success for our community.

The Village of New Albany is home to over 12,000 residents and almost 9,000 employees within the community. We are working with key community groups to ensure that the market is an attraction to both residents and employees alike.
Our Thursday evening ‘producer focused’ market is in the heart of the Village of New Albany, centered on the Market Street Square. For twelve weeks this summer the New Albany Farmers Market will be bringing the farm to Market Street where you can literally shake the hand of (and get to know!) the people who feed our community.
We thank you in advance for your patronage and continued support of the New Albany Farmers Market. We’ll see you there!
Our goal is to provide a venue that encourages the awareness and use of locally grown and produced goods that promote community health. Many of our vendors are certified Organic or All-Natural. A few offer environmentally friendly alternatives for your home and overall life.
